Thanks to competitive phone and broadband prices, along with great customer service, Pure Telecom is on the up. That is why we are announcing 32 new jobs and €1.8M investment by the end of this year.
Last year, 2016, was a great year for Pure Telecom. We reached 42,500 customers – up 25% on the previous year. As a result, we announced plans to reach 100,000 customers in the next three years. In order to reach that figure and facilitate our constant growth, we need more staff.
We will create 32 extra jobs in areas including sales, employee training, customer service and technical support by the end of this year. At the end of the hiring process, which has already started, our team will reach 112 people.
The additional team members’ primary focus will be to continue to provide the highest standard of customer care. This will help us to maintain our average business customer retention rate of five-plus years. It will also allow us to maintain long-term residential customer retention rates. Finally, the increased support will help us target new growth opportunities through channel partners.
Commenting on the announcement, Paul Connell, director and co-founder, said: “Our customer numbers are growing rapidly and that’s not only down to offering very competitive prices, but also great customer service. We’re very focused on consistently delivering what our customers want and as our numbers grow, we want to make sure that customer service remains central to our business – and that means ensuring we always have the right ratio of team members to customers.”
“Contributing to the growth of our customer base will be the National Broadband Plan – both on the residential and business side,” said Paul. “We work with multiple telecoms wholesale providers, giving us access to more premises in Ireland than anyone else. As more homes and businesses across Ireland become connected to fibre, there will be huge customer demand for high-speed broadband services. When that time comes, we will be ready to support the increased demand with no negative impact to our existing customers.
“People are essential to making Pure Telecom a success. Our customers know that when they phone us, their call will be answered quickly and professionally. Our new team members will ensure that we continue to be known as a reliable, customer-first business.”
